Croatia's MA.CO.T is developing two projects for solar installations mounted on the roof of company-owned industrial properties, Zagreb-based media reported.
The company is developing the projects at its production facilities in the Kukuljanovo industrial zone, in western Croatia, and in Caporice, in southern Croatia, the latest issue of trade magazine EGE (www.ege.hr) quoted MA.CO.T official Marko Nuic as telling a seminar on photovoltaic systems held in Zagreb last month.
Croatian news daily Slobodna Dalmacija reported in late 2010 that MA.CO.T had secured 1.2 million euro ($1.7 million) for investment in the two projects. The planned capacity is 220 kilowatt-peak (kWp) for the Kukuljanovo location and 240 kWp for the Caporice location, the daily reported at the time.
Slobodna Dalmacija also said that MA.CO.T brought on stream in December a 246 kWp solar installation mounted on the roof of a company-owned production and warehouse facility at the Slovenian Adriatic port of Koper.
Kukuljanovo-based MA.CO.T (www.macot.hr) produces salt.
