The Connecticut Green Bank has sold 1.2 MW of solar power systems to local renewable energy investor Skyview Ventures, the lender announced on Thursday.
Skyview has acquired five rooftop projects and one 302-kW ground-mounted system. Each of the solar arrays has a power purchase agreement (PPA) and one of them is also secured by the Green Bank’s Commercial Property Assessed Clean Energy program (C-PACE).
According to the bank, the PV installations will benefit municipal properties, a non-profit organisation and an affordable multifamily housing provider.
“When compared with expected utility-sourced energy, these six solar projects are anticipated to provide the customers an estimated USD 1.3 million in energy cost savings over the next 20 years,” said Bert Hunter, Chief Investment Officer and Executive Vice President for the Connecticut Green Bank.
