Ørsted wants all suppliers to use 100% renewable power by 2025
Aug 10, 2022 18:04 CESTZAGREB (Croatia), September 17 (SeeNews) – China's Norinco International Corporation will complete the construction of a 156 MW wind farm in Croatia within a year, local media reported on Thursday.
The construction site is being prepared for the installation of the equipment, whose transportation to the site began three weeks ago, news wire SeeBiz.eu quoted the manager of the construction works, Zlatko Prpic, as saying.
The investment in the project is estimated at some 230 million euro ($271 million). The wind farm is expected to produce 530 million kWh of electricity annually, according to the media report.
Once commissioned, the wind farm will be operational for 23 years.
The energy facility will comprise 39 wind turbines, 29 of which will be installed in the area of the Adriatic city of Senj, and the remaining 10 in the neighbouring Brinje municipality.
A total of 180 workers are employed in the construction works at present - 120 Croatian and 60 Chinese ones.
