Nov 5, 2013 - Power producer China Longyuan Power Group Corp Ltd (HKG:0916) said today its wind power output for October 2013 had gone up by 26.96% year-on-year to 2,019,644 MWh, based on preliminary statistics.
In total, the company produced 2,798,722 MWh, up by 17.72% on the year. This also reflects a 47.65% rise in the output from other renewable power plants to 67,095 MWh as well as a 3.94% drop in coal-fired power generation to 711,982 MWh.
China Longyuan’s output for the 10 months through October amounted to 27,538,926 MWh, which corresponds to an increase of 19.07%. Wind power generation for the period went up by 33.66% to 17,877,238 MWh, while the company’s other renewable energy plants produced 497,493 MWh, up by 11.25%.
At the very end of October, China Longyuan said its preliminary net profit for the first nine months of 2013 had jumped 13.55% on the year to CNY 1.95 billion (USD 320m/EUR 237m). At the end of September, the company had 10.66 GW of installed wind power capacity, 1.88 GW of coal-fired power and 278.9 MW of other renewable power generation capacity.
