China Longyuan wind output jumps 11.7% in Jul 2014

Aug 7, 2014 - Power producer China Longyuan Power Group Corp Ltd (HKG:0916) said today its wind power output for July 2014 has increased by 11.7% year-on-year to 1,608,723 MWh.

Based on preliminary statistics, China Longyuan's total power generation for the month remained flat at 2,578,199 MWh as the group saw a 15.26% fall in coal power production to 915,463 MWh. Other renewable energy output dropped by 6.55% to 54,013 MWh.

The biggest contribution from the wind segment came from the company's Inner Mongolia wind parks. Their output jumped by 18.38% on the year to 345,242 MWh.

China Longyuan's January-to-July power generation went up by 0.24% to 19,308,338 MWh, with wind power production rising by 5.64% to 13,232,324 MWh.
