China Longyuan adds 2,053 MW of wind power capacity in 2010
(ADPnews) - Dec 31, 2010 - Wind farm constructor and operator China Longyuan Power Group Corp Ltd (HKG:0916) reached a newly installed capacity of 2,052.95 MW in 2010 after its 49.5-MW Jiangsu Rudong phase-three wind farm kicked off operations, it said in a statement on Wednesday.
During the year the company powered 35 wind energy plants in 13 provinces throughout China.
According to a report released by Chinese news agency Xinhua earlier this month, in its five-year plan China Longyuan sees its total wind energy capacity at 11 GW in 2012 and 18 GW in 2015. The company is now working on the expansion of its wind power business into the US, Europe and Australia.
