China Energy Engineering Corp's arm in $1.5 bln power plant deal in Turkey

ANKARA (Turkey), March 26 (SeeNews) - State-owned China Energy Engineering Corporation Ltd said that its subsidiary China Gezhouba Group International Engineering Co., Ltd has entered into a $1.5 billion (1.37 billion euro) contract for construction of a pumped storage power plant in Turkey.

Under the contract, China Gezhouba will design, procure, construct and debug the Egirdir Pumped Storage Power Station Project, China Energy Engineering Corporation said in a statement on Wednesday.

The project will have four pumped-storage generating units of 250 MW each. It is located 25 kilometers northeast of the capital of Isparta province in Turkey.
