Chile's renewables share falls to 29.8% in May

June 29 (Renewables Now) - The renewables share in Chile’s total power production fell to 29.8% in May from 31.5% in April, Chilean energy commission CNE said in its latest sector report.

The so-called non-conventional renewables in Chile generated 2,128 GWh in May, up by 1.4% month-on-month, and a 42.6% increase in annual terms.

The total net installed renewable energy capacity in Chile climbed to 10,013 MW in May from 10,007 MW in April.
