Chile's renewables share drops to 25.5% in June

July 27 (Renewables Now) - Non-conventional renewables accounted for 25.5% of Chile’s power production in June, Chilean energy commission CNE said in its latest sector report.

The share of renewables was 29.8% in May.

Renewable power production fell by 15.3% compared to May to 1,802 GWh. In year-on-year terms, production increased by 21.8%.

The total net installed renewable energy capacity in Chile climbed to 10,066 MW in June from 10,013 MW in May.
