Chevron Energy, Tioga complete 1.15-MW solar plant in California
Dec 6, 2011 - Chevron Energy Solutions, a unit of Chevron Corp (NYSE:CVX), today said it had finished the construction of a 1.15-MW solar power system for the city of Dinuba in California together with US solar energy retailer Tioga Energy Inc.
Chevron Energy was responsible for the design, engineering and installation of the project. Tioga Energy financed and owns the project. It will sell the output to the city at predictable rates under a 20-year power purchase agreement.
The ground-mounted solar power facility includes 4,704 photovoltaic (PV) modules on a landfill near the city's wastewater treatment plant.
