CEZ Esco Bulgaria in talks for 30,000 kWp solar park in Romania - report
CEZ Esco Bulgaria, part of Czech energy group CEZ, is negotiating with its sister company CEZ Esco Romania the implementation of a joint project for the construction of a 30,000 kWp photovoltaic installation in Romania, Sofia-based media reported.
"At the same time, we are negotiating new contracts on the territory of Bulgaria for an expected total capacity of over 10,000 kWp, including the construction of 'ground' installations with a capacity of about 5,000 kWp per unit," Karel Kral, CEZ regional manager for Bulgaria, said in an interview published by news outlet Investor.bg earlier this week.
Since its establishment in 2017, CEZ Esco Bulgaria has signed contracts for a total of 83 energy efficiency projects, of which 59 have been finalised, Kral also said.
"The company projects are in progress and we cannot provide more details," CEZ Esco Bulgaria told SeeNews on Friday in a response to an e-mailed enquiry.
CEZ Esco Bulgaria is currently building a 10 MW solar plant in Zlatitsa, near Sofia, for the needs of copper producer Aurubis Bulgaria, a unit of Germany's Aurubis AG.
