Hitachi Energy, Petrofac to partner on offshore wind integration
Jun 28, 2022 16:51 CESTMay 18 (Renewables Now) - Spanish renewable power retailer and project developer Capital Energy announced on Tuesday that it is promoting a 49.7-MW solar photovoltaic (PV) plant project in the region of Castile and Leon, north-western Spain.
The proposed project will be located in the municipalities of Paredes de Nava and Cardenosa de Volpejera, close to where Capital Energy installed the 39-MW Las Tadeas, its first wind farm.
No other details about the solar development were made available.
The announcement came after Capital Energy signed an agreement with the Paredes de Nava and Cardenosa de Volpejera city councils committing to be a good neighbour during the project life and undertake socially conscious actions in the community.
The company calls these tailor-made agreements Proyecto Territorios, and they include contributions to improvement of local infrastructure and services, preservation of art and cultural heritage, labour integration of vulnerable groups, among others.
