Global private asset manager Capital Dynamics said on Tuesday that it has completed the exit of its third clean energy fund with the sale of a 27.5-MW onshore wind farm portfolio in the UK.
Capital Dynamics Clean Energy and Infrastructure III LP (CEI III), which was the platform’s inaugural European-only renewables fund, bowed out following the sale of three onshore wind farms located in Fife, County Durham and Bedfordshire.
Capital Dynamics’ clean energy platform started acquiring greenfield assets for CEI III in 2015, all of which qualified for the UK’s Renewable Obligation Certificates (ROCs). The platform also managed construction and operations of the assets over the last six years, the firm said.
Its dedicated asset management affiliate Netro Energy Ltd handled the asset management services for the portfolio.
Capital Dynamics has been a direct investor in clean energy in Europe since 2013. At present, the company owns and operates over 30 projects with a combined capacity of over 1 GW, it said in the press release.
