Canadian Solar to equip 2.3-MW solar project in N Carolina
Jul 8, 2013 - Canadian Solar Inc (NASDAQ:CSIQ) said Monday it had been chosen by Argand Energy Solutions to supply photovoltaic (PV) modules for a 2.3-MW solar power project in the state of North Carolina.
The contract calls for Canadian Solar to supply some 7,700 of its CS6X-300P PV modules.
Argand and Horne Brothers Construction Inc commenced construction of the ground-mounted, utility solar system on June 3, 2013 and expect to connect the installation to the grid in August.
Once completed, the plant will be capable of providing enough electricity to cover the needs of around 460 households. The developer has already secured construction funding from Fifth Third Bank.
