Canadian Solar Inc (NASDAQ:CSIQ) said today it has switched on six solar power plants in the UK with a combined capacity of 39.4MWp.
This means the company now has 103 MWp of solar facilities in commercial operation in the UK.
The six new installations were connected to the grid in March under the Renewables Obligation Certificate (ROC) support regime. The company adds to a number of announcements of completed solar projects in the UK recently as companies look to bring sites online ahead of subsidy cuts.
When reporting fourth-quarter 2015 results in March, the module manufacturer said it had 398 MW of solar plants in operation, 2 GW in late-stage development and an early-stage project pipeline of 8.3 GW.
More recently, Canadian Solar announced it has won a 63-MWp solar project in a Mexico energy auction.
