Canadian photovoltaic (PV) rooftop system developer PowerStream said today it has bought 2.575 MW of projects from local green energy financer JCM Capital.
The 14 rooftop solar generation projects in Ontario will be located on StorageMart Self-Storage facilities throughout Toronto, Markham, Barrie and London.
The combined production of the facilities will come in at about 3,500 MWh per year, enough to supply 365 local homes and will be sold at feed-in tariff.
PowerStream and JCM Capital have been working together since 2012 to manage the design, construction and commissioning of the projects.
Up until now, PowerStream has a portfolio of 2.6 MW in 26 solar generation projects and has acquired an additional 15.2 MW in 60 projects from five other solar developers, as part of its ongoing commitment to champion renewable generation in Ontario.
