SOFIA (Bulgaria), October 4 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian electricity trading company Energy MT has filed for a regulatory approval to acquire control of renewable energy producer SRP Solar Bulgaria, the country's competition regulator CPC announced on Tuesday.
Energy MT plans to carry out the acquisition through its newly registered subsidiary Anerg, CRC said in a notice on its website.
SRP Solar Bulgaria is owned by the Netherlands-registered solar power plant operator Silver Ridge Power, according to data from the Bulgarian commercial register.
Energy MT, established in 2010, holds licences for electricity trade issued by the relevant authorities in Bulgaria and Greece, which enable it to sell electricity to end-consumers and conclude deals with other electricity traders.
Sofia-based SRP Solar Bulgaria's activities include management of solar power plants and renewable energy projects.
