Brazil's wind power output for January-July 2017 stood at 3,794 average megawatts (MWa), marking a 25.3% year-on-year increase, according data from the Power Trading Chamber (CCEE).
The installed wind power generation capacity at the end of the period reached 11.3 GW, a 19.7% increase year-on-year. At the beginning of September, the capacity stood at 12.18 GW, National Wind Energy Association (Abeeolica) said on Monday.
Rio Grande do Norte state was the top producer of wind power in the seven months with 1,227 MWa, a 25.6% increase. More details per state are available in the table.
