Brazil clears Energio to launch 56.7 MW of wind power
Jun 23, 2014 - Brazilian electricity regulator Aneel last week gave green light for the commercial operation of three wind parks of a total 56.7 MW, installed in Ceara state by local wind power developer Energio.
The company was allowed to launch its Colonia, Taiba Andorinha and Taiba Aguia plants, with an installed capacity of 18.9 MW, 14.7 MW and 23.1 MW, respectively. The permits were published in the state gazette on Friday.
Located in Sao Goncalo do Amarante municipality, the three plants are expected to produce 210 GWh a year.
Energio has also developed the Icarai I and II wind power projects of combined 65.1 MW.
