Bosnia's EPBiH Hires Strabag for 2.98 Mln Euro Upgrade of Dam Control System
SARAJEVO (Bosnia and Herzegovina), February 2 (SeeNews) – Bosnia’s biggest power utility EPBiH [SAJ:JPESR] said it has signed a 2.98 million euro ($4.1 million) deal with Austria’s Strabag for the rehabilitation of dam surveillance system at three of its hydropower plants.
The turn-key project is financed from a European Investment Bank credit and should be completed within 16 months, EPBiH said in a statement on its website on Wednesday.
With the implementation of the project the most up-to-date surveillance system will be introduced at the water reservoirs of the Jablanica, Grabovica and Salakovac hydro power plants.
EPBiH operates in the Muslim-Croat Federation, which together with the Serb Republic makes up Bosnia. A second power utility, Elektroprivreda HZ HB, operates in the Federation, while Elektroprivreda RS is active in the Serb Republic.
