Bosnia’s Elektroprivreda HZ HB to complete Rama HPP upgrade in Q2'13
Bosnian power utility Elektroprivreda HZ HB said a 39 million euro ($50.1 million) upgrade of hydropower plant Rama will be completed in the second quarter of 2013.
The upgrade works are going according to the plan, Elektroprivreda HZ HB said in a statement on Wednesday.
The bulk of the investment will be secured through a loan from the German state-owned KfW bank.
Croatia’s Koncar Energetski Transformatori and a consortium led by Koncar-KET are the main contractors in charge of Rama's reconstruction.
Elektroprivreda HZ HB, the smallest of Bosnia's three state-owned power utilities, is based in the Muslim-Croat Federation. The country's largest power utility is Elektroprivreda BiH, also based in the Federation, which together with the Serb Republic forms war-divided Bosnia. Elektroprivreda RS is the power utility of the Serb Republic.
