November 5 (Renewables Now) - Novotegra GmbH, a subsidiary of German renewables developer BayWa r.e. AG, has agreed to acquire Swiss mounting systems manufacturer PV Integ AG in a push to expand its portfolio with mounting systems for green and gravel roofs.

Based in Ebikon, near Lucerne, PV Integ uses recycled plastic to manufacture mounting systems for green and gravel-topped roofs.

The acquisition will add a green-roof solution to Novotegra's portfolio, which already includes mounting systems for a range of both pitched and flat roofs, and enable it to serve new potential applications in this increasingly popular area of solar installations, Novotegra said on Wednesday.

The deal will strengthen also Novotegra's position in the European market and help it advance its internationalisation.

The financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.

Novotegra was formed as an independent subsidiary of BayWa r.e. at the beginning of 2021 to bundle all photovoltaic mounting system manufacturing activities of the German renewables developer.
