Austrian Activ Solar reaches 313.35 MWp installed capacity

(SeeNews) – Nov 6, 2012 – Vienna-based solar technology company Activ Solar GmbH said today that after the completion of the 43.14 MWp Dunayskaya solar plant last week, its combined installed capacity has reached 313.35 MWp for the last two years.

Activ Solar’s solar plants will produce over 400,000 MWh clean electricity annually, enough to supply approximately 96,000 households.

According to the company’s estimations, its solar projects built in the last two years will offset over 325,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions per year.

Besides the over 2,750 jobs during construction, Activ Solar’s plants have created more than 150 direct full-time jobs.

The company completed the second and final phase of the Dunayskaya solar plant in Odessa last week. The project is the company’s sixth large-scale solar installation to date.
