Arise Windpower to install two wind farms of 10.8 MW each in Sweden
(ADPnews) - Dec 8, 2010 - Swedish Arise Windpower (STO:AWP) today said it would break ground on a 10.8 MW wind farm in southern Sweden.
Both the projects include six Vestas V 100 turbines and are scheduled to become operational in the spring of 2011.
One of the farms will be established in the Vastervik municipality of Kalmar County and the other farm will be installed in the municipality of Askersund.
The two projects bring Arise Windpower's farms in Sweden to seven and its total wind turbine number to 58 with a combined capacity of 125 MW, the company said adding that thus it had achieved its expansion target for the year.
The projects are in line with the company's return on investment plans of 10% with an expected specific investment cost of some SEK 5.5 (USD 0.793/EUR 0.600) per kWh a year.
