Argentine renewables increase output by 87% y/y in Dec

January 17 (Renewables Now) - Power production from renewables in Argentina rose by 86.7% year-on-year to 912 GWh in December, the latest monthly report by the wholesale electricity market administrator CAMMESA shows.

In month-on-month terms, the renewables output increased by 6.9%, while their total share in power generation stayed at 8% for the third consecutive month.

Argentina arrives in 2020 with 2,590 MW of total installed non-conventional renewable energy capacity registered at the end of December, up from 2,472 MW the month before.
