Jul 11, 2013 - Argentine engineering company Industrias Metalurgicas Pescarmona (Impsa) will complete the expansion of the Arauco wind farm to 50.4 MW in September, Fernando Carbel, manager of the plant, said.
Located in La Rioja province, the wind farm is owned by La Rioja's government and Argentine state-owned energy firm Enarsa.
Impsa will complete the installation of the 12 new turbines this month. The turbines will be tested as of July 15 and will start commercial supplies in September, Carbel said.
Later, the plant will be further expanded, to 100.8 MW, again by Impsa.
