Argentina signs 99.5 MW of RenovAr 2 contracts

December 17 (Renewables Now) - Argentina has signed contracts for 99.5 MW of green projects that were selected in the country's renewable energy auction programme RenovAr Round 2.

Power purchase agreements (PPAs) were inked with Argentina's wholesale electric market management company CAMMESA for two solar and six biogas plants.

There are only two projects left from this round of RenovAr waiting to sign contracts with CAMMESA, more specifically two solar projects with 37 MW of combined capacity, the ministry's Undersecretariat for Renewable Energy noted.
