Alkane Energy wins GBP-1.6m gas-to-power job

(SeeNews) – Sep 3, 2012 - UK gas-to-power producer Alkane Energy (LON:ALK) said Monday it had won a GBP-1.6-million (USD 2.5m/EUR 2m) deal to provide services and equipment to a biogas power plant project at the Dagenham waste facility in northeastern London.

Under the terms of the deal, Alkane will take care of the integration of site heat and electrical systems and provide a full gas to power solution. It will also provide maintenance services for the plant for a period of 15 years. The facility is expected to enter in operation by end-2013.

The latest contract brings Alkane’s total biogas projects order book to over GBP 4 million for the year so far. Dagenham will be the fourth project to use the company’s combined heat and power plant technology that ensures an integrated gas-to-power solution.
