Weekly renewables M&A round-up (May 16-20)
May 20, 2022 17:01 CESTTIRANA (Albania), November 22 (SeeNews) – Albania's electricity production decreased to 1,186 GWh in the third quarter of 2019 from 1,630 GWh a year earlier, the country's statistical office said on Friday.
Albania's power exports fell to 104.8 GWh from 287.2 GWh in July-September 2018, whereas imports rose to 771.9 GWh from 469.9 GWh, INSTAT said in a statement.
Almost all electricity produced in the third quarter of 2019 was generated by hydro power plants.
Some 941.3 GWh of electricity was produced by state-owned companies, whereas independent electricity producers contributed 236.8 GWh.
Grid losses decreased by 3.9% year-on-year to 342 GWh in the third quarter. Distribution losses edged down to 302 GWh from 312 GWh, while transmission losses narrowed to 40.7 GWh from 44.9 GWh.
