Weekly renewables M&A round-up (May 23-27)
May 27, 2022 17:26 CESTTIRANA (Albania), April 2 (SeeNews) – Albania-based BESTA has applied for a building permit for a photovoltaic park in the area of Kucova, near the southern city of Berat, the country's energy ministry said on Tuesday.
The ministry provided no details about the capacity, estimated cost and implementation timetable of the project.
In February, the ministry said local company LM Energy Corporate has applied for a building permit for a solar park with installed capacity of 50 MW in Sheq Marinas area near the southwestern city of Fier.
Albania produces over 90% of its electricity from HPPs, most of it from three power stations along the Drin river, in the northern part of the country.
