Albanian power transmission system operator OST H1 net profit falls

TIRANA (Albania), July 18 (SeeNews) – Albania's state-owned power transmission system operator OST recorded a net profit of 531.4 million leks ($4.9 million/4.2 million euro) in the first half of 2018, down from 768.9 million leks in the like period of 2017, it said.
The company's operating profit decreased to 787.7 million leks in the six months ended June 30, from 1 billion leks in the prior year period, OST said in an interim financial statement published on Tuesday.
The revenue from transmission services increased to 2.96 billion leks in the first half of the year from 2.34 billion leks in the corresponding period of 2017.
The company's total assets increased to 68.1 billion leks at the end of June, from 63.04 billion leks a year earlier. OST’s total equity grew to 30.8 billion leks from 29.7 billion leks.
The power transmission company closed 2017 with an audited net profit of 1.3 billion leks.
