Weekly renewables M&A round-up (May 23-27)
May 27, 2022 17:26 CESTTIRANA (Albania), April 12 (SeeNews) – Albania's energy ministry said on Thursday it has received two applications for building permits for wind farms and one application for construction of a photovoltaic (PV) park in the country's south.
The applications for construction of wind farms have been submitted by local companies Wf Energy and Eurus.
The capacity of each wind farm will not exceed 10 MW, according to a list of applications posted on the website of the energy ministry.
Both companies intend to build their wind farms in the Karaburun area, near the southwestern port city of Vlora, at an estimated cost of 20.8 million euro ($25.7 million) each.
Albanian company Smart Watt has submitted an application to build a PV park with installed capacity of up to 2 MW in Topoje village, near the southwestern city of Fier, at an estimated cost of 2 million euro.
