Oct 27, 2014 - French private equity firm 123Venture said on Thursday it had disposed of 19.6 MW of local solar photovoltaic (PV) parks to a German investor, whose name was not disclosed.
More specifically, 123Venture had sold three PV plants located in the townships of Esparron-de-Verdon and Saint-Hilaire-du-Rosier. The firm bought its 85% stakes in the solar parks in 2010. The projects were developed by minority shareholder Solairedirect SA and commissioned by it in 2011. The latter participated in the transaction as well, 123Venture noted, without elaborating any further.
The sale represents 123Venture’s second such deal since July 2014, when it divested a 1.6-MW rooftop solar system to a domestic energy firm. The private equity investor’s renewables portfolio includes 150 plants with a total capacity of over 600 MW.
